Common VPN Questions

Organized around real usage stages, this guide covers VPNGP accounts, subscription imports, troubleshooting, route selection and refunds. Each answer starts with an actionable sequence, followed by the information you should keep or verify.

ACCOUNT

Accounts & Subscriptions

From creating a username to retrieving a subscription, changing devices and handling exposed credentials, start by separating the account access point from the subscription link.

Do I need an email address to create a VPNGP account?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Use the username to sign in to the user panel, and keep the password secure. After registration, you can view plans, orders, client access and subscription details in the panel.
Where can I get my subscription link after purchase?
Sign in to the user panel and open the overview or client section to view your subscription details, then import them according to your platform’s instructions. Your subscription link is an account credential: use it only in your own client, and never copy it to public pages, chat groups or shared documents.
How should I update my subscription link?
If the route list changes or your client has not refreshed for a while, retrieve the current subscription again from the user panel, then use the client’s update-subscription function. If old routes still appear, delete the existing configuration and import it again. Make sure you are importing the link currently shown in the VPNGP panel.
Do I need to purchase again when I change devices?
No. Changing devices does not require another purchase. VPNGP supports unlimited devices, and the same subscription can be used on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux. On a new device, get the client and subscription details from the user panel. Do not export credential-containing configuration files from an old device to a public location.
What should I do if my subscription link is accidentally exposed?
Stop forwarding or using the exposed link, then submit a ticket through the user panel explaining that your subscription credentials may have been exposed and requesting assistance. After receiving updated subscription details, import them again in your own client and remove the old configuration so the old link does not remain on shared devices or in public documents.

CONNECT

Connections & Troubleshooting

Connection issues usually require checking the local network, client configuration, subscription status and specific app in sequence, rather than repeatedly clicking Connect.

What should I check first if the client keeps failing to connect?
First confirm that your current network can access websites normally. Then update the subscription and switch to another route. If the connection still fails, fully quit and reopen the client, check that the system time is correct, and make sure no other tool is also taking control of the network connection. When submitting a ticket, include the platform, route name and error message for more direct troubleshooting.
Why isn’t a particular app using the proxy?
Common causes include per-app rules being enabled, the target app being placed on a direct-connection list, or the system proxy applying only to certain programs. Check the client mode, per-app settings and exclusion list, then fully close and reopen the target app. If other apps connect normally, first check whether that app uses its own network settings.
What should I do when it says connected but websites will not open?
Switch to another route first, then reopen the browser or target app. If no route works, disconnect and confirm that your original network is working normally, then update the subscription and reconnect. If the issue persists, mention the platform, client, route name and inaccessible websites in your ticket. Do not submit the subscription link itself.
Is it normal for the connection to drop after switching networks?
When a device switches from one network to another, the existing connection loses its underlying link, so the client usually needs to reconnect. Wait for the network to stabilize, then disconnect and reconnect in the client. If the route list becomes abnormal after frequent switching, updating the subscription or restarting the client usually restores a clear state more easily.
Which platforms support VPNGP?
VPNGP supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux. Client downloads and subscription access are available in the user panel; sign in and choose your current platform. Permission prompts and import screens may differ between systems, so follow the platform instructions shown in the panel.

ROUTES

Speed & Routes

No route is universally better outside its context. The exit region, local network, destination service and time of use all affect results, so choose based on the task at hand.

Which regions and routes does VPNGP cover?
VPNGP offers 100+ countries / 160+ routes. The routes page lets you browse destinations by region, while the actual list in your client depends on the latest subscription update. Choose routes based on the destination of the service you need and current network performance; you do not need to use the same route permanently.
What should I do about slowdowns during peak hours?
First rule out local network congestion by pausing bandwidth-heavy downloads, syncing or system updates, then switch to another route in the same region. If all routes in that region perform poorly, test a nearby region. For video, lowering the quality and buffering again can help determine whether the issue is route instability or content-side loading.
What is the difference between IEPL dedicated routes, relay routes and direct routes?
These labels describe different link arrangements. IEPL dedicated routes are suited to situations where link stability is the priority. Relay routes optimize the cross-border path through an intermediate link, while direct routes connect straight to the exit region. Actual performance also depends on the local network, destination service and time of use, so compare routes in the client for your current task.
What should I do when a streaming service says the region is unavailable?
First make sure the selected exit region matches the region where the content is available, then fully close and reopen the streaming app. If it retains an old region cache, clear the app cache or test again in a browser. Route labels are useful references, but content availability depends on the streaming platform and its regional licensing arrangements.
How should I choose a route when AI tool sign-in is unstable?
Choose an exit region supported by the AI tool and keep the route region consistent while signing in and using the service. Frequently changing exit regions may trigger additional verification. If the current route loads slowly, switch to another route in the same region and reopen the page instead of repeatedly changing regions.

BILLING

Billing & Refunds

Monthly subscriptions and data packages use different data rules. Before ordering, confirm the billing method, current usage and order status, then decide whether to upgrade or switch to a data package.

What monthly subscription plans are available?
Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date, and devices are unlimited. Choose based on your typical web browsing, AI tool, file transfer and streaming usage rather than device count alone.
What data packages are available?
Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They remain valid until used and never expire. Data packages suit usage that varies from month to month. Before purchasing, compare the billing models for monthly subscriptions and data packages on the plans page, then choose based on your usage pattern.
When does monthly subscription data reset?
Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date, not at the start of the calendar month. Use the subscription period shown in the user panel when checking your data. Data packages remain valid until used and never expire, so their rules differ from monthly subscriptions. Confirm which type you purchased before comparing them.
How is a mid-cycle plan upgrade calculated?
For a mid-cycle monthly upgrade, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days. Available plans and the resulting order are determined by the user panel. Before upgrading, check your remaining data and subscription status, confirm that the new plan fits your expected usage, then complete the change through the plans section of the panel.
Which payment methods are supported?
VPNGP supports Alipay, WeChat Pay and USDT. Before paying, verify the order amount and selected plan in the user panel. After payment, return to the order page to check the status. If it has not updated, do not create the same order repeatedly; keep your payment record and submit a ticket through the user panel.
How do I request a refund?
VPNGP offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, submit a ticket through the user panel with the relevant order and refund request, and keep your order and payment records. Refund scope and handling follow the refund policy page and order status. Do not submit subscription links or account passwords on public pages.
